Anduril Industries founder says Taiwan needs a 'fortress of freedom' as company expands Altius-600M role and local industrial base

Anduril Industries founder Palmer Luckey has described Taiwan as needing a defence concept based on autonomous systems and asymmetric deterrence, while the company expands the role of its Altius-600M loitering munition and builds a local industrial base in Taiwan, according to Defence Industry Europe. The Altius-600M is a tube-launched autonomous air vehicle capable of strike, electronic warfare and other payload-configurable missions, and its expanded role in Taiwan represents a concrete step toward embedding Anduril technology into Taiwanese defence architecture. The local industrial base initiative aims to reduce Taiwanese dependence on distant supply chains for a capability intended to survive a potential blockade or conflict scenario.
