Deutz and Hypercraft target global unmanned ground vehicle market with new strategic partnership and European production plans

German engine manufacturer Deutz and US electric propulsion specialist Hypercraft have announced a strategic partnership targeting the global unmanned ground vehicle market, with plans to establish European production facilities, according to Defence Industry Europe. The partnership combines Deutz's conventional and hybrid powertrain expertise with Hypercraft's electric drive technology to offer a range of propulsion solutions for military UGV platforms. European production would position the partnership to supply NATO and EU customers seeking domestically sourced UGV powertrain components.
