EDA advances MARSUR towards EU Secret status after successful real time interoperability test with NATO systems

The European Defence Agency has advanced the MARSUR maritime surveillance network toward EU Secret classification level following a successful real-time interoperability test with NATO systems, according to Defence Industry Europe. The test demonstrated that MARSUR can exchange classified maritime data with NATO's own maritime picture in real time, a capability required to support EU naval operations and coordinated responses to threats at sea. Achieving EU Secret status would allow MARSUR to be used for a broader range of classified military maritime surveillance missions.
