Ukraine expands DELTA with satellite imagery, drone orthophotos and 3D terrain data to sharpen battlefield planning

Ukraine's Ministry of Defence has expanded the DELTA combat system to combine satellite imagery, drone-produced orthophotos, and three-dimensional terrain models in one planning environment. More than 1,700 orthophotos were added in July 2026, while satellite coverage includes Ukraine, occupied Crimea, and selected areas inside Russia; users can receive update alerts, assess movement and strike effects, and plan unmanned-ground-vehicle routes with detailed terrain data. The ministry also made DELTA's AI assistant available to all users, with the next phase focused on scaling data volume and access rather than announcing a separate weapons procurement.
