USS George H.W. Bush Anchors Off Phuket After 187 Days Without a Port Call

USS George H.W. Bush and guided-missile destroyer USS Delbert D. Black arrived off Phuket, Thailand, on October 4, 2026, for the carrier strike group's first port visit since departing in March. The Nimitz-class carrier is the flagship of Carrier Strike Group 10 and carries Carrier Air Wing 7, comprising nine aviation squadrons. The visit follows six months supporting Operation Epic Fury and the U.S. naval blockade in the Middle East, with approximately 4,800 personnel aboard the carrier. The group is now operating in the Seventh Fleet area, with crew recreation, community events and meetings with Thai officials scheduled.
